Rent Runner was built by people who have lived the interstate rental problem firsthand.
Why we exist
Finding a rental in Canberra while you are still in another city is expensive, stressful and time consuming. Flights, accommodation, time off work and hire cars add up fast. We started Rent Runner because we believe you should not have to spend hundreds of dollars just to look through a property.
Who we are
Jake is the founder. After flying back and forth for inspections and spending thousands on travel, he decided there had to be a better way for interstate renters to secure a home.
Matt is our lead Runner. He is Canberra based, knows the suburbs and agents well, and has been attending inspections on behalf of interstate renters since Rent Runner began.
What we believe
- You should see the property clearly before you apply.
- Being physically present does not improve your rental application.
- Honest, straightforward reporting beats polished marketing photos.
- Interstate renters deserve the same access to inspections as locals.
